Tour The Four Aeolian Pearls (Vulcano-Lipari-Panarea-Stromboli)

The “Four Aeolian Pearls” tour from Milazzo offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Aeolian Archipelago, where we will admire the beauty of the islands of Vulcano, Lipari, Panarea, and Stromboli and discover their differences and contrasts.

• Departure from Santa Maria Maggiore harbor. We will enjoy our navigation across the beautiful sea and, with a bit of luck, we might even have the chance to be guided by dolphins along the way.
• First stop and swim at Punta dell’Asino, in front of the beautiful namesake black sand beach. The typical color originates from lava flows due to the volcanic nature, still visible today from the numerous fumaroles and mud pools, such as those near Porto di Levante.
• Resuming navigation along the coast, we will admire the extraordinary beauty of the island with its strong sulfur smell until we pause at the richest and most interesting area where the Pools of Venus and the Cave of the Horse are located. Here we will make a short stop with the chance for some diving and swimming.
• We will then continue our route, and along the navigation you will be able to admire another example of the volcanic nature of our archipelago with the imposing volcanic hills of Pietra Lunga and Pietra Menalda, the so-called “Faraglioni of Lipari,” under which we will take a nice selfie.
• As we begin to coast along Lipari, you will be astonished by the bright white of the rock mountains and the famous pumice quarries with their white sand beaches and crystal-clear sea. Here we will go for a swim and do some snorkeling.
• Once back on board, we set course for Panarea. One of the most fascinating spots on the island is Cala Junco Bay, where we can enjoy a swim in the turquoise waters of this natural inlet, or simply relax in the sun in front of this splendid scenery.
• Continuing our navigation, we will admire the rocky coasts and the Aeolian houses with their terraces overlooking the sea, offering stunning views of the islets of Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca, Dattilo, and Lisca Nera, which form a small archipelago. Opportunity to go ashore on the island for a simple drink at the most renowned terraces such as Raya and Banacali’, or a walk among the many small shops in the harbor.
• Once back on board, we set course for Stromboli, the most evocative island due to the extraordinary phenomenon of the Sciara del Fuoco, with its steep slope made of lava and lapilli that runs from the crater down to the sea. Stromboli is one of the three still active volcanoes in Italy.
• Stop at Ginostra, a small, typical, and characteristic hamlet of Stromboli with a breathtaking terrace where you can enjoy an aperitif with a view of all the other Aeolian Islands.
• A few minutes of navigation and finally we go to see the volcanic explosions under the famous volcano called “IDDU”. You will be hypnotized by the lapilli falling from the crater into the sea under a starry sky.
• We will then continue our return navigation to the departure harbor.
