Tour Aeolian Islands: Vulcano – Lipari – Salina

This mini-cruise in the Aeolian Islands offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Aeolian Archipelago, where we will admire the beauty of Vulcano, Lipari, and Salina and discover their differences and contrasts.

The typical black beaches of Vulcano, the white seabeds of Lipari originating from pumice quarries, and the lush vegetation and beauty of Salina are just a few examples of what will leave you speechless.

• Departure from Santa Maria Maggiore harbor.
• First stop and swim at the Cave of the Horse, where we will also admire the beauty of the Venus Pools.
• Resuming navigation along the coast, we will admire the extraordinary beauty of the island with its strong sulfur smell until we pause in front of the beautiful namesake black sand beach. The typical color originates from lava flows due to the volcanic nature, still visible today from the numerous fumaroles.
• We will then continue our route, and along the navigation you will be able to admire another example of the volcanic nature of our archipelago with the imposing volcanic hills of Pietra Lunga and Pietra Menalda, the so-called “Faraglioni of Lipari,” under which we will take a nice selfie.
• We will continue the route to Salina, in the village of Lingua, where it is highly recommended to go ashore for lunch and to taste the famous “Pane Cunzatu” at Alfredo’s, a typical dish of Aeolian culinary tradition.
• Once back on board, we will go for a swim in the crystal-clear waters in front of the village of Pollara, where we will admire the beach made of large stones among the cliffs. There is not much space, but that is exactly what makes it unique and intimate, nestled within an amphitheater-shaped cliff.
• Resuming navigation toward Lipari, you will be astonished by the bright white of the rock mountains and the famous pumice quarries with their white sand beaches and crystal-clear sea. Here too we will stop, and you can dive and swim in these very clean, transparent waters that make this landscape unique of its kind. Opportunity to go ashore on the island for a walk in the center and along the streets of Marina Corta and Marina Lunga before we begin our return navigation to the departure harbor.
