What does the tour include
In this tour of the Aeolian Islands from Milazzo, we offer an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Aeolian Archipelago, where we will admire the beauty of Panarea, known as the pearl of the Aeolian Islands, renowned for its refined beauty and the marvelous islets that surround it.
Thanks to the large number of celebrities who visit during the summer season, it is nicknamed the “Island of the VIPs”; and Stromboli, the most active volcano in the world called ‘IDDU’, which with its ‘Sciara del Fuoco’ (Fire Stream), a steep slope crossed by lava streams, creates an unmissable spectacle.
- Departure from Santa Maria Maggiore harbor. We will enjoy our navigation across the beautiful sea and, with a bit of luck, we might even have the chance to be guided by dolphins along the way.
- First stop at one of the most fascinating spots on Panarea: Cala Junco Bay, where we can enjoy a swim in the turquoise waters of this natural inlet, or simply relax in the sun in front of this splendid scenery.
- Continuing our navigation, we will admire the rocky coasts and the Aeolian houses with their terraces overlooking the sea, offering stunning views of the islets of Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca, Dattilo, and Lisca Nera, which form a small archipelago between Lipari and the island of Stromboli. Opportunity to go ashore on the island for a simple drink at the most renowned terraces such as Raya and Banacali’, or a walk among the many small shops in the harbor.
- Once back on board, we set course for Stromboli, the most evocative island due to the extraordinary phenomenon of the Sciara del Fuoco, with its steep slope made of lava and lapilli that runs from the crater down to the sea. Stromboli is one of the three still active volcanoes in Italy.
- Stop at Ginostra, a small, typical, and characteristic hamlet of Stromboli with a breathtaking terrace where you can enjoy an aperitif with a view of all the other Aeolian Islands.
- A few minutes of navigation and we can take a nice selfie under Strombolicchio, a small, completely uninhabited volcanic island.
- Once moored in the harbor, you can take a walk through the narrow alleys of the village among the green prickly pears, caper plants, and colorful bougainvillea.
- We will then continue our return navigation to the departure harbor.
We also offer this tour as a night trip, with the chance to admire the Sciara del Fuoco and the spectacular volcanic explosions under a starry sky.
