Tour Tindari & Marinello Ponds Nature Reserve

This tour will let you discover the beauty of one of the most stunning stretches of our coastline, characterized by wide sandy beaches alternating with rocky sections. The Marinello Ponds Nature Reserve can certainly be considered one of the most unspoiled places in all of Sicily, where rare fauna and flora species coexist.

• Departure from Santa Maria Maggiore harbor. Our navigation will begin by coasting along Capo Milazzo to its tip, from where you can admire the enchanting Aeolian Islands. We will continue toward Sant’Antonio Bay, one of the most evocative spots in the Capo Milazzo Marine Protected Area, located at the foot of the namesake church carved into the rock. Here we will make a short stop and swim in the crystal-clear sea.
• Heading to Tindari and the Marinello Ponds Nature Reserve. As we approach, you will already be able to see and admire the Sanctuary built in honor of the Black Madonna, perched on a hilltop with a breathtaking view over a saltwater lagoon that changes shape under the force of wind and tides. A white strip of gravel and sand marks the boundary between the lagoon and the sea.
• We will spend our time enjoying the beauty of the Nature Reserve in total relaxation, then finally set sail back toward the departure harbor.
